Natavar was a young boy with full of mischief. As he spent his young days without interests in studies his father though advised him, he did not improve. Because of drought in his village, his father died and Natavar became orphan. He went to city in search of a job. Luckily he got a one in a wealthy man's house. The son of the wealthy man Shekhar was exactly like Natavar. What Natavar did to SheKhar and how his father was happy with Natavar is the story.

In a Gurukula on the Vindhya mountain's river bank, Matanga was the teacher. The students of the Gurukula were from all sects and Nirupa is one of the notorious student. He did not follow the rules of the Gurukula and used to make fun of the lame teacher Matanga. The Guru told a story to the students and how two students who got the boon to take any form of their wish from a teacher. And, how one of them who did not follow the instructions of teacher met his fate is the story.
